Rufus
At the age of almost fourteen, my beloved dachshund, Rufus, died suddenly earlier this year. He came in to the office with us everyday since he was a pup of ten weeks old, so both home and work feels very bleak without him. Here is one of my favourite photographs of him.
And although this isn't Rufus, I love this YouTube clip of Jerry the dachshund. It makes me laugh and reminds me of all the funny, happy times we had owning a dachsie and just how smart they are!
Guinea Pigs
Even though I've never owned a guinea pig, these South-American cavies crop up in my writing and I have friends who own some cute ones. Here's a picture of Olga Charles (left) looking very spiffy in her psychedelic guinea-harness and her hutch-mate Toffee (right) who sadly is now living in the great guinea-run in the sky.
Even if you are not a guinea-fan, you'll love The Guinea Pig Way. Watch out for the tan and white one on the far right hand side of the chorus! Hysterical.
Hairspray
I LOVE musicals and Hairspray is one of my favourites. If you've seen the film or the stage musical, you'll know why I've included You Can't Stop The Beat here. However down you're feeling, I guarantee you'll feel a little better after this song!
